BURNT McMELBA TOAST has been part of the Quad Cities music scene since 1990, blending funk, heavy rock, jazz, psychedelic sounds, and extended jams into a style that feels completely their own.
Originally formed by Matt Friesz, Rodney Shaw, and Kevin Moore, the band carried the energy of the 90s jam-band scene while building a reputation for adventurous live shows and original music — even opening for Aquarium Rescue Unit.
Today's lineup brings a new generation into the mix, with River Shaw on drums and Joe Friesz on keyboards and guitars, adding fresh energy while keeping the band's unmistakable homegrown sound alive.
